Blood meal is dried bovine blood; it has a high protein content. Blood meal is primarily used as a flavoring and aroma enhancer. It isn’t used very often, so it can definitely throw you for a loop. If the boilie isn’t overcooked, the blood meal “leaks” out nicely and creates an enticing scent trail. If you’re looking for something new, blood meal is definitely worth trying. In addition to its pleasant smell and taste, it also makes an excellent hardener.
